Psychosocial support for parents, caregivers, teachers and educators

Psychosocial support is provided to parents, educators, extended family members, teachers, chronic disease patients, families of children with cancer and families of detainees. Interventions are carried out in ten sessions and focus on three key areas:

  • Stress management;
  • The stages of child development and their characteristics;
  • Child protection.

Psychosocial support providers act as facilitators who promote verbal communication, manage the emotional environment and ensure that recipients are given the time and space to express themselves, exchange views and experiences, and provide support to each other.
