Under the slogan “Towards Palestine free of AIDS” PRCS implements a campaign at Al-Najah University in Nablus

Nablus (December 5, 2013): Under the slogan “Palestine Free from AIDS” and in coordination with al- Najah University in Nablus, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) implemented a campaign among the students in the university to raise awareness on AIDS.


A team from PRCS Primary Health Care Program, consisting of 30 staff and volunteers, distributed brochures to raise awareness on AIDS, and explain its causes and prevention means and cure. Questionnaires were also distributed to more than 500 students to measure their level of knowledge about the dangers of AIDS and how it can be avoided, and to correct any wrong information so that the misconceptions about AIDS are clarified.


This health and humanitarian effort is conducted by PRCS on December 1st every year marking World AIDS Day; and it has been the 9th year in a row where PRCS is exerting this campaign targeting students of Palestinian universities and colleges.
