Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Provides Relief Aid in Khirbet Ibzik

(Toubas- 1/11/2012): PRCS provided relief services and aid to Palestinians in Khirbet Ibzik (Toubas Governorate, Northern Aghwar) after Israeli occupation forces demolished several tents and barns in the area owned by 15 Palestinian families.

According to Mr. Walid Abou’l Hayja, Coordinator of PRCS’ Disaster Response Unit in the Northern West Bank, “PRCS’ teams distributed around 30 tents as well as blankets, mattresses, kitchen utensils and hygiene items to devastated families following a rapid assessment of the situation in coordination with ICRC”.

Dr. Al Khatib, PRCS President, affirmed that PRCS is fully supportive of residents who suffer from systematic violations by Israeli occupation forces in an attempt to uproot them from their land. He pledged to continue providing assistance to those inhabitants within the Society’s capacity. “PRCS has always provided in-kind aid and support to all those affected by Israeli violations”, he added.
