(Gaza -13/5/2012): The PRCS Psycho Social Support Program recently concluded a series of recreational activities including trips for approx. 1000 children with special needs benefiting from various rehabilitation and capacity development programs at PRCS/Khan Younis.
The one-week activities were held with the participation of these children’s teachers and supervisors. They aimed at bringing joy to children with special needs, releasing any pressure they might be feeling, integrating them in society and engaging them in public life.
Several trips to “Asda’a” recreational village were organized while many leisure activities, shows, games and cultural contests were held under the supervision of specialized professional staff from the Rehabilitation and Psycho social support Departments.
It is to be noted that activities under the Psychosocial Support Program are implemented with support from the European Commission Humanitarian Office & Civil Protection.
