Radwan Halaween, a psychologist at PRCS, said that PRCS endeavors to harness its capacities to ensure the success of this Week and promote reading amongst children. Mohamad Al Saftawi from Tamer Institute said that these activities were organized in cooperation with PRCS to promote reading, attract children to books, teach them how to read stories and express what they have read in different artistic and educational ways.
Participating children underlined how happy they were to take part in this Week. “I have truly benefited from events held during the first day of this Week, and I’d like to take part in other activities during the remainder of the Week in order to learn how to tell stories and to be able to read various books”, Rimaz Hamadeh (10), said.
It is to be noted that the National Reading Week is organized throughout Palestine in cooperation with tens of local institutions in order to promote reading, enhance children’s reading skills and encourage them to buy books and stories.
