PRCS is Awarded the Princess Haya Prize for Special Education

(Nablus, 12/3/2012): The Special Education School at PRCS Nablus Branch won the Princess Haya 2012 Prize for Special Education which was awarded in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.


PRCS was competing alongside 196 similar initiatives from the Arab world. It presented an outstanding Special Education Project entitled “An Educational Nursery Project for the Production of Decoration Plants at PRCS/Nablus”.

This Project targets mental, motor and hearing-impaired students at PRCS rehabilitation centers as well as elderly persons from PRCS nursing home. It aims at providing training and rehabilitation services for persons with special needs to ensure they are productive citizens and to help them create their own enterprises that would generate income and are appropriate for their capacities and capabilities.


The Program was assessed by the Prize’s jury against a number of criteria including its benefits and positive impact on students, families, PRCS and the local community.


His Excellency Mr. Kassem Radwan, Palestinian General Consul in Dubai, received the prize on behalf of PRCS.
