Ambassador of Norway to Lebanon visits PRCS/Lebanon

(Lebanon- 13/2/2012): The Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon Mr. Svein Aass visited PRCS branch in Lebanon where he was received by Dr. Mohamad Othman, Secretary General of the branch, Dr. Salah al Ahmad, Head of Medical Services and Dr. Samer Shihada, Head of the Project Unit.
 

The guest and his accompanying delegation were briefed about PRCS and its history as well as about the various milestones achieved and obstacles faced by the branch. Services provided by the branch to Palestinian refugees in Lebanon were underscored.
 

A detailed explanation was also provided on improvements made by PRCS/Lebanon as well as on quality enhancement efforts at PRCS hospitals to enable them to compete with their Lebanese counterparts and to fulfill patients’ needs according to available means and with support from all partners. The suffering of Palestinian refugees in refugee camps in Lebanon was also exposed.
 

The visiting delegation then toured Akka Medical Compound and Bourj el Barajneh refugee camp in Beirut and its Haifa hospital where they were briefed about services provided.
