Training Courses for Hospital Staff at PRCS’ Lebanon Branch

(Lebanon, 6/2/2012): In line with the Quality Enhancement Program, PRCS’ Branch in Lebanon held training courses for nurses, doctors and health workers employed by PRCS hospitals in Lebanon, in order to enhance their quality of work, polish their skills and improve the way they handle patients.

Participants at the course held at Rafiq Al Hariri International Hospital in Beirut said that the Program has started to yield positive results. Mounir Al Hajj, a participant, said: “Since we started to implement the Quality Enhancement Program, the number of patients who seek medical care at our hospitals increased. The patients themselves tell us how satisfied they are with our services”.

Nuha Abou Eissa spoke about her daily work as well as about changes which took place since the Program started. “We now separate medical waste properly, and even the way we handle our patients has changed”, she said.

Khaled Sabbagh, another participant, added: “Applying quality standards requires a huge budget. We seek to provide our patients with services according to the available budget”.

Dr. Fadi Salameh, Managing Director of PRCS’ Al Hamshari Hospital in Sidon said: “These courses are very important, and a budget has been allocated for the improvement of hospital services”, while Dr. Kassem added: “These courses help polish the skills of our professional staff. Hospital services have been improved concomitantly at Al Hamshari, Safad, Nazareth, Haifa and Balsam hospitals. We shall continue this process with a view to improving the level of all services provided”.
