PRCS Team wins the Gaza Strip wheelchair Basketball tournament

(Khan Younis ,02-10-2011): PRCS’ Al Amal City wheelchair basketball team won the 2011 wheelchair basketball tournament held in the Gaza Strip.

The tournament was organized by the Wheelchair Basketball Committee and the Basketball Federation s part of the Disabled Persons Empowerment Project and with support from Diakonia. It was held at the Gaza Outdoors Sports Hall with six teams competing for the title.

The final match opposed PRCS/Khan Younis and Al Salam Club for the Disabled, who came second. It was attended by members of the Administrative Board of the Palestinian Paralympic Committee Dr. Nahed Eid and Kamel Aboul Hassan, Diakonia representative Ms. Hanin Al Sammak, President of the Gaza Sports Club Mr. Moussa Al Wazir and a large crowd of wheelchair basketball fans.
