Hajja Bakriyeh Hamayel donates land in Jericho to PRCS

(Al-Bierh, 02-10-2011): Al Bireh- PRCS President Dr. Younis Al Khatib received on the 2nd of October 2011 from Hajja Bakriyeh Hamayel (Imm Nader) a land donation agreement for a piece of land in Jericho to be used for the construction of social or health facilities in the city.
 

At the agreement signing ceremony attended by her husband, PRCS Director General Dr. Khaled Joudeh and PRCS Administrative Director Mr. Suliman Al Ahmad, Mrs. Hamayel said that she is donating this piece of land with the house on it (around 1.5 dunums) in memory of her deceased uncle Moussa Hamayel. “I did not hesitate before offering this land and the house to PRCS given the humanitarian, social and health services it provides to Palestinians wherever they may be, which have a huge positive impact on society”, she said. Mrs. Hamayel hoped that this donation would help provide assistance and heal the wounds of Palestinians in Jericho, adding that she placed her utmost trust in PRCS to do so.
 

Dr. Al khatib lauded this generous donation from Mrs. Hamayel and said that it indicates how supportive Palestinians are of PRCS and its services, and how positively they view the Society. “Palestinians are generous and are willing to make sacrifices for the sake of their country and fellow-citizens. This donation by Mrs. Hamayel comes as a show of solidarity to prove how generous and cooperative Palestinians are. It is an excellent example of social solidarity”, he added.
