PRCS and the Japanese Embassy in Cairo sign an agreement for the improvement of Medical Equipment in Palestine Hospital

(Cairo- 12.10.2010): The Palestine Red Crescent Society and the Embassy of Japan in Cairo signed an agreement for the improvement of the medical equipment in Palestine Hospital, which belongs to PRCS in Cairo, aiming at enhancing the services provided.

Mr. Tareq Arafat, Secretary General of PRCS branch in Egypt, signed the agreement on behalf of PRCS, while his Excellency Mr. Norihiro Okuda, the Japanese ambassador, represented Japan. Mr. Bashir Abu Hatab, the first secretary of Palestine Embassy in Egypt was present during the signing ceremony as well.

During the ceremony, that took place in Japan Embassy in Cairo, his Excellency Okuda asserted on the strong relations and the fruitful and continuous cooperation between Palestine and Japan in the various aspects; pointing at the support Japan provides to the Palestinians, especially in the domain of Development and Improvement.
Furthermore, his Excellency Okuda expressed his hope that this medical equipment, which will be provided according to the agreement, would contribute in enhancing the medical and health care provided by Palestine Hospital in Cairo to the Palestinians and all who needs it.

On his part, Mr. Arafat briefed them about PRCS, and in particular Egypt branch, informed them about the services provided for the Palestinians and Arabs in Cairo in addition to the programs it implements.
