The Palestine Red Crescent Society “PRCS” signs two cooperation agreements with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) and the Saudi Red Crescent Society (SRCS)

 Cairo – The PRCS signed on the 28th of July 2009, two agreements of cooperation to face health and humanitarian repercussions of the last Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, one with the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRCS) and the other one with the Saudi Red Crescent (SRCS).

The agreement with the MRCS was signed by PRCS President, Dr. Younis Al-Khatib and the Vice-President of the MRCS, Dr. Bahai Mansour. It included providing PRCS Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza with some medical supplies. In addition to providing needed equipments to students in Gaza Strip that were donated by students in Malaysia.

On the sideline of the agreement that was signed in the presence of delegates from the ICRC, IFRC, and Egyptian Red Crescent, the two parties agreed on strengthening mutual cooperation for the purpose of facing health and humanitarian repercussions of the last Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip that destroyed PRCS medical amenities.

From the other hand, the PRCS has signed another agreement of cooperation with the Saudi Red Crescent Society for the aim of reconstructing Abu Ja’far Al-Mansour’s School at Beit Lahia which was also destroyed by the last Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip. The above-mentioned agreement was signed by PRCS President, Dr. Younis Al-Khatib and a representative from the Saudi Red Crescent, Dr. Mohammad Al-Sayed. This agreement states that the reconstruction expenses will be covered by donations of students of the developing education schools in Al-Ryad.

Additionally, and in the framework of strengthening mutual cooperation between the two societies, PRCS President, Dr. Younis Al-Khatib visited the headquarter of the Egypt Red Crescent Society, where he discussed the latest updates and best methods of cooperation in allowing donations and supplies into the Strip.
