PRCS and UNRWA agree on strengthening shared work and cooperation between them

 Ramallah – PRCS President, Dr. Younis Al-Khatib, emphasized today, the 24th of June, 2009, the importance of strengthening the shared cooperation and work between PRCS and the UNRWA, particularly in the refugee camps in Lebanon.

This was stated during a meeting with the WHO Special Representative and the Regional Director of the UNRWA Health Department, Dr. Jowaido Sabatinely, the Director of the UNRWA Health Department, Dr. Ummaya Khamash, as well as the Head of Communication, Cooperation, and Planning Department at the PRCS, Mr. Majed Abdulfattah.

The meeting discussed methods of enhancing cooperation between UNRWA and PRCS, especially in Lebanon. They also agreed to review cooperative mechanisms in this area, in order to enhance mutual cooperation and work and develop provided services.

The meeting also included discussions on the International Organization Conference which had supported the PRCS. This Conference is to be held this summer, is going to address the health repercussions of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and its aim is to place pressure on the Israeli government in order to allow medical and relief items from enterning the Strip.
