A Student Delegation from various Western Universities visits PRCS Branch in Gaza
On 2nd of June, 2009, a senior student delegation, including 30 students, representing American, Canadian, and Norwegian Universities, visited PRCS branch in Gaza.
In this regard, PRCS branch in Gaza organized a tour for the student delegation, where they were briefed on the PRCS administrative building and major warehouse which were completely burned to the ground, as well as the Al-Quds Hospital, which was badly damaged as a result of a direct hit by the Israeli Occupational Forces during the last aggression on Gaza.
Hanan Lathan, Public Relations Coordinator of PRCS branch in Gaza Province, said "the visit by the student delegation to Gaza will continue for a week in order to see closely the effects of the most recent Israeli aggression on Gaza, especially particular areas that were most damaged".
At the end of the tour, Dr. Bashar Murad, Director of EMS in Gaza, gave the student delegation a short summary of PRCS, and spoke of the difficulties that the medical staff had endured. He referred to the many killings and injuries due to the recent Israeli Occupational Forces aggression on Gaza, as well as to the destruction of many ambulances.
Dr. Bashar Murad demanded all those who responsible to put an end to the abuse, and to the need to restrict the Israeli Occupational Forces by use of the Geneva Convention agreements and Humanitarian Laws, which help protect the medical aid teams in times of war and armed conflict.
