PRCS President Welcomed the UNRWA Commissioner-General

 On May 21, 2009, Ms. Karen AbuZayd UNRWA Commissioner - General visited PRCS headquarters in Al-Bireh Yunis Al-Khatib, PRCS president, briefed the UNRWA Commissioner - General on PRCS services.
Dr. Al-Khatib gave a detailed description of PRCS' activities, programs, and services, and PRCS' plan to rehabilitate Al-Noor medical center that was badly damaged as a result of the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza.
He also briefed Ms. AbuZayd on the major difficulties PRCS faces, especially in Gaza, with the Israeli Forces restricting the access of medicine and medical supplies, and other needs to the Gaza people.
Ms. AbuZayd briefed on the services provided by UNRWA to Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza, as well as the Diaspora, despite the difficulties that hamper agency work
At the end of the meeting, both agreed to strengthen the cooperation and coordination in regards to fulfilling the Palestinians humanitarian needs.
