PRCS organizes a handicrafts and food products exhibit in Jenin

 On the 24th of March 2009, the Youth and Volunteers Department at PRCS/Jenin Branch organized a handicrafts and food products exhibit at PRCS/Jenin Hall.

The exhibit was inaugurated by a celebration marking Mother’s Day and “Jerusalem Capital of Arab Culture Festival”. The celebration was attended by Jenin’s Governor Mr. Kaddoura Moussa, Head of the Education Directorate in Jenin Ms. Salam Al Taher, Ministry of Culture representative Ms. Amal Ghazal, Youth and Volunteers Department Coordinator in Jenin Mr. Waleed Abou Al Hayja, and the Director of the Department’s Community-Based Center Mr. Hani Al Kilani.

The celebration featured various artistic interludes including Dabkeh dances performed by young girls from “Manafeth” Community-Based Center and by young boys from Jenin’s Committee, a musical interlude by sight-impaired students from Al Noor School for the sight-impaired, a poem read by poet Kamel Al Nawrassi as well as a speech on behalf of Palestinian women read by poetess Na’ima Al Ahmad.

The exhibit, which shall last for three days, also featured home-made food products, handicrafts, Palestinian embroideries and paintings.
