Palestine Red Crescent Society Condemns Occupation's Assaults on Its Crews in Tulkarm

9/10/2024, Al-Bireh – The Palestine Red Crescent Society condemns the Israeli occupation's assaults on its crews today in Tulkarm, where Israeli forces targeted one of the PRCS's volunteer EMTs with live bullets while he was providing first aid to an injured person in Tulkarm camp.

The Israeli occupation forces also arrested two EMTs (who were later released) from inside the Tulkarm emergency medical services center after storming and surrounding it. They detained the EMS crews inside the center and prevented them from providing emergency services to the Tulkarm Governorate.

The PRCS warns of the dangers of the escalating assaults by the Israeli occupation against its working crews in the West Bank, as well as the repeated prevention of ambulances from reaching the wounded and sick to provide them with urgent care during the occupation's raids on West Bank cities and camps.

Since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip, the PRCS has documented more than 750 violations against its medical missions, patients, and injured individuals in the PRCS's ambulances in the West Bank.
