Bethlehem branch
The branch was established in 1995. Since its establishment, the branch sought to offer the following various services:
Emergency Medical Services:
There are 16 ambulance officers working in this center which has seven ambulances distributed as follows: five ambulances to transport the patients, two intensive care unit ambulances. The center organizes first aid courses to students and government institutions employees and NGOs in the governorate.
Al-Khader Primary Health Care Center:
In cooperation with the Health Ministry, the center offers the following services:
- General medicine
- Pharmacy
- Dentistry
- Laboratory
- Vaccination
- Obstetrics clinic
- Childhood clinic
- Health education
Community Work:
This programme aims at strengthening the resilience of local communities and build their capacities to help in adapting and coping with disasters and crises they may face. The programme holds several activities focusing on disaster risk reduction, psycho social support, and community based first aid topics.
The programme works in 4 villages: Marah Rabah, Beit Fajjar, Housan, and Irtas.
Youth and Volunteers:
The programme was established in 1997. Number of volunteers reached 200. As for the activities implemented by the committees, they are as follows:
* To offer voluntary services to the community in Bethlehem Governorate, such as participating in olive picking and assisting the farmers in the areas close to the apartheid wall and the regions threatened with confiscation.
* To support the Emergency Medical Teams (EMYs) during official and national holidays, such as Christmas and conferences and deployment near the checkpoints during Ramadan.
* To implement environment activities in the branch, such as painting on the walls and drawing road signs, in addition to the participation in activities with some institutions in the governorate, such as picking olives and planting trees.
* To participate in open days and activities of the branch, such as medical days and summer camps.
Sewing workshop:
it was established to meet the needs of the branch in terms of services and financial matters. Moreover, it provides the branches and hospitals of the PRCS with the uniforms they need.
