PRCS Launches a COVID-19 Awareness Campaign in Ramallah & Al-Bireh Schools

Al-Bireh, October 4, 2020 – PRCS launched on October 4 a COVID-19 awareness and prevention campaign in several schools in Ramallah & Al-Bireh Governorate, with a special focus on schools in marginalized, remote and Bedouin communities as well as schools in areas included in Israeli annexation plans.

A team of PRCS volunteers distributed educational leaflets, First Aid kits, games and children’s books to around 1120 pupils in Al Mughayyer Elementary School, Abou Falah Elementary School, Kufour Malek Boys High School and Ras Al Teen School with a view to reducing stress and anxiety caused by the pandemic and restoring balance in pupils’ lives.

According to PRCS President Dr. Younis Al-Khatib, the campaign is part of efforts aimed at responding to COVID-19 by raising health awareness especially among pupils and students. Over this week, the campaign will raise awareness about COVID-19 prevention methods and hygiene practices. It will reach out to 6000 pupils enrolled in 18 schools throughout the Governorate.
