(Hebron – 13/7/2020): A PRCS team checked up on quarantined families in Taffouh (Hebron Governorate), offering them food parcels, health care and psychological support.
The team, which comprised five doctors and a number of social workers and psychologists, offered support and advice to around 85 persons from 32 families. Each family also received one food parcel and one hygiene kit which contained masks, gloves, sanitizers and other protective materials.
According to Dr. Fathi Fleifel, visit coordinator, “these home visits aimed at providing assistance to quarantined persons in Taffouh, a town which was sealed off two weeks ago due to COVID-19. A total of 390 active COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the town".
Dr. Fathi explained: "The visits are organized in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Health, Taffouh Municipality and the local Health Committee. In the coming days, similar visits shall be organized to tens of families in other affected areas in Hebron Governorate, the Palestinian Governorate hit hardest by COVID-19”.
