A New PRCS’ Health Center Inaugurated in Al Ubeidiya

(Bethlehem - 7/8/2018):  A state-of-the-art PRCS’ health center was inaugurated in Al Ubeidiya (Bethlehem Governorate) thanks to a generous donation from Mr. Amir Abou Ghazaleh made in his father’s memory. Executed by the Welfare Association (Taawon), the new center comprises an emergency unit, an x-ray unit, a medical laboratory as well as several clinics specialized in orthopedics, kidney disease, gynecology and physiotherapy. The center also comprises a dental clinic. 

Dr. Mohamad Rizk, PRCS’ Executive Office Member, represented the Society’s President at the center’s inauguration ceremony. Ma’moun Abbassi, PRCS’ Deputy Director for Northern Governorates, Tafeeda Jarbawi, Director General, Welfare Association and Shukri Radaideh, Mayor of Al Ubeidiya were also present at the ceremony alongside local residents and representatives from public, non-governmental and health institutions.

Speaking on behalf of PRCS’ President, Dr. Rizk said the center’s inauguration comes as PRCS celebrates its 50th anniversary. He spoke about key achievements made by PRCS since its creation in 1968 with a view to increasing the steadfastness of Palestinians as well as enhancing and diversifying health and social services offered to them. He thanked Amir Abou Ghazaleh for his generous contribution and lauded the close ties between the Welfare Association and PRCS.

Ms. Jarbawi highlighted the continuous and increasing cooperation between her organization and PRCS. She also spoke about joint projects aimed at enhancing medical services offered to Palestinians.

Al Ubeidiya mayor highlighted the importance of this new state-of-the-art center for local residents and addressed his thanks and appreciation to PRCS, the Welfare Association and Mr. Amir Abou Ghazaleh.
