PRCS Teams Visit Palestinians Wounded During the March of Return

(Gaza – 24/4/2018): A team from PRCS’ Rehabilitation and Capacity Development Department visited Palestinians wounded during March of Return protests on the Gaza Strip’s eastern borders. Organized in cooperation with physiotherapists at PRCS’ Al Quds and Al Amal Hospitals in the Gaza Strip, these visits aimed at providing care and assistive devices to the wounded.

The condition of each wounded person, whether convalescing at home or in the two PRCS’ hospitals, was assessed. Physiotherapy sessions were also offered while 38 assistive devices were distributed.

According to Hassan Nassar, Head of PRCS’ Rehabilitation Department in the Gaza Strip, “these visits aimed at allaying the suffering of the wounded and helping them overcome their plight. They were co-organized by the Department and physiotherapists from the Society’s hospitals in the Gaza Strip. Walkers, crutches and medical mattresses were distributed and physiotherapy sessions carried out”.
