The open day featured several artistic, recreational and educational activities including cartoon drawing, freehand drawing, recycling, story-telling, origami workshops, face painting, balloon twisting, sign-language introduction sessions and educational sessions on the rights of persons with disabilities.

50 pupils from Faysal Al Husseini Girls School, Al Fajr School and Al Magheer village school (all in Ramallah and Albireh Governorate) took part in this event aimed at integrating hearing-impaired pupils with their hearing peers and at strengthening interaction amongst them by engaging them in the same activities. The open day was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Ramallah Municipality, Tamer Institute, the Palestinian Environmental Authority and the British Council.
