A Turkish Delegation Visits the Society’s Headquarters in the Gaza Strip

 Gaza - 4/7/2016:  PRCS’ Director General Dr. Khaled Joudeh received a Turkish delegation at the Society’s headquarters in Gaza City. The delegation comprised his Excellency Mustafa Sarnıç, Turkish Ambassador and Dr. Kerem Kinik, President of the Turkish Red Crescent Society in addition to several accompanying officials. The two parties discussed means to enhance mutual cooperation as well as humanitarian projects implemented by the Turkish Red Crescent in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Joudeh applauded Turkey’s efforts and assistance to Palestinians. He said the meeting aimed at furthering coordination and cooperation between the two National Societies with a view to allaying the humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip which remains besieged by Israeli occupation forces.

Mr. Sarnıç underlined the need for the two Societies to continue cooperating in order to support and enhance the steadfastness of Palestinians, fulfill their needs and provide them with full-fledged humanitarian services. He praised the vital and active role played by PRCS in both the humanitarian and health fields.
