PRCS and the Embassy of China Distribute Winter Clothes to Schoolchildren

Al-Bireh-21/3/2016: PRCS and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China distributed on Monday new winter clothes destined for pupils enrolled at Al Bireh Al Jadida School and PRCS’ Total Communication School for hearing-impaired children.

The distribution took place at the Society’s headquarters in Al-Bireh with the participation of China’s Ambassador Chen Xingzhong, PRCS’ Director General Khaled Joudeh, and Mayor of Al-Bireh Fawzi Abed. Several employees from the Chinese Embassy and PRCS also attended this event.

Diya’ Ma’ala, Headmaster of Al-Bireh Al Jadida School, lauded China’s support to the Palestinian cause and people, especially to Palestinian schools, students and youths. Winter clothes (jackets) are to be distributed in other Palestinian schools and especially to high school students who represent an important part of the Palestinian society, he said.

Speaking on behalf of all Palestinians, Dr. Joudeh thanked the people and government of China for their great support of the Palestinians. He commended the close ties between Palestine and China and said that this generous support is part of the continuous assistance provided by China to Palestine especially in the humanitarian field.

Mayor Abed welcomed the Chinese Ambassador and applauded China’s support to Palestinians. He also lauded the efforts made by PRCS in the provision of various services to Palestinians at all times.

PRCS and the Embassy of China will continue the distribution of approximately 1000 jackets to schoolchildren in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
