PRCS’ Director General Hails Kuwait’s Role in Supporting Palestinians

(Al-Bireh- 13/9/2014): PRCS’ Director General Dr. Khaled Joudeh received at PRCS’ Headquarters in Gaza City Mr. Khaled Al Zeid, Head of the Kuwait Red Crescent Mission to the Gaza Strip, and his accompanying delegation.

At a Press Conference held in front of PRCS’ Al Quds Hospital in Gaza City, Dr. Joudeh welcomed the Kuwaiti delegation, conveying to its members the greetings of PRCS’ President Dr. Younis Al Khatib and his recognition of Kuwait’s efforts to support Palestinians in general and victims of the latest Israeli attack in particular.

Dr. Joudeh also expressed his deep appreciation to all partners from the International Movement for their continuous support. The Kuwait Red Crescent Society, he said, has dispatched tens of shipments of medicine and medical supplies as well as thousands of food parcels to Palestinian hospitals in the Gaza Strip and to Palestinian victims. It has also provided PRCS with a fully equipped ambulance, he added.

Mr. Al Zeid commended PRCS’ work in the humanitarian, health and relief fields as well as its serious and continuous efforts to provide relief to injured Palestinians and affected populations. He expressed solidarity with Palestinians and their just cause, adding that the Kuwait Red Crescent Society shall do its best to support the steadfastness of Palestinians and to strengthen the capacities of PRCS. Furthermore, he underlined the constant coordination and cooperation between the Kuwaiti and Palestinian Red Crescent Societies to assist all affected families in the Gaza Strip.

At the end of the Press Conference, Dr. Joudeh addressed his thanks to the Prince, government and people of Kuwait in recognition of their permanent support to Palestinians and their cause, as well as their continuous cooperation with PRCS to help ease the suffering of Palestinians.
