Saudi Medical Aid to PRCS Continues to Flow In As Part of a Grant from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

(Al-Bireh- 1/9/2014): The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dispatched today a consignment of medical aid to be distributed to Gaza Strip hospitals through the PRCS. The 67 tons of aid aim at covering the severe shortage in medicine and medical supplies faced by the Palestinian medical sector in the aftermath of the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip. The consignment included 2275 parcels containing medicine and medical supplies.


PRCS’ President Dr. Younis Al Khatib addressed his thanks to the king, government and people of Saudi Arabia, affirming that this aid shall support and strengthen the capacities of Gaza Strip hospitals.


Medical aid to PRCS from Saudi Arabia started flowing in on the first week of the Israeli attack. The Kingdom allocated a 52 U.S dollars grant to meet the urgent needs of hospitals and health centers in the Gaza Strip in terms of medicine and medical supplies to enable them to treat the victims of the Israeli attack.
