Tens of PRCS’ Volunteers Distribute Urgent Relief Aid to Affected Populations in the Gaza Strip

)Al-Bireh, 13/08/2014(: Tens of volunteers and staff working with the PRCS’ Disaster Management Unit in the Gaza Strip have distributed urgent relief aid to around 7914 families (47,574 persons) living in UNRWA and public schools-turned-shelters in Gaza City, Khan Younis, Deir el Balah and Rafah.The aid, which was distributed as of the start of the Israeli attack on the 7th of July, includes food parcels, hygiene kits, kitchen kits, blankets, mattresses, clothes, water and diapers.

In the West Bank, PRCS’ staff and volunteers continued to receive and package humanitarian aid donated by the local community and Civil Society Organizations. This aid is to be sent to the Gaza Strip to help allay the suffering of Palestinians whose living conditions have become extremely difficult.


PRCS affirms that it shall continue to provide urgent humanitarian, medical and relief aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, to the best of its ability.
