PRCS Marks the Palestinian Child Day in Al Fara’a

PRCS inaugurated on Wednesday the 2nd of April, 2014 a recreational sports camp for mentally disabled children and their families at the Salah Khalaf Center in Al Fara’a. The camp marked the Palestinian Child Day celebrated annually on the 5th of April.

Dr. Younis Al Khatib, PRCS President, Mr. Ghassan Kabaha, Director of the Center and numerous representatives from governmental and non-governmental institutions in Tubas Governorate visited the 2-day camp held with the participation of 120 children from PRCS’ Rehabilitation Centers in the West Bank, the PRCS’ Home Enrichment Program (CBSE) and schoolchildren from the Governorate. Camp activities included drawing, sport competitions, play-doh activities, dancing and Bocce. The camp was held in cooperation with the British Council and Right to Play International.

Families of disabled children took part in several of these activities as well as in workshops and training sessions relating to psychosocial debriefing and First Aid.
